Oliver Winery - Bloomington, Indiana Travel Guide #1

Today, I bring you a new blog series. I teamed up with the amazing people at Visit Bloomington to take you around some amazing spots around Bloomington, Indiana. If you do not know, Bloomington is a college town and home to Indiana University. Go, Hoosiers! I attend IU and I graduate this semester. Before I leave Bloomington, I wanted to take you around to show you some of my old and new favorites.

Before we start, let me start by saying I do not know anything about wine. Well… I know it comes in white and in red. That’s as far as my wine knowledge goes. Now, let’s begin! Visiting Oliver Winery was amazing. It was nothing like I have ever experienced. My friends and I had the pleasure to go wine tasting as well as explore their vineyards. Eurielle and I did all of the wine tasting while Dara watched from the sidelines (Hang in there, Dara! You will be 21 soon). The whole experience was wonderful and surprisingly informative. We learned there are various kinds of wines from hard wines to semi-sweet. Our favorite were the dessert wines. I didn’t know wine could be super sweet! Eurielle and I loved the sweet wines. After tasting 8 (it might have been 9. I got a little tipsy) different wines, we decided to head to the vineyards. Dara drove for obvious  reasons.
