From her confidence to her music Janelle Monáe is one of my all time favorite fashion icons. Her key color staples are black, white and red. And everyone knows I love those three colors when it comes to fashion. Black and white overtime have been seen as a safe and boring combination although I beg to differ, Janelle Monáe is a key example of how mixing of prints, patterns and textures can bring amazing ensembles even with limited color.
Besides her amazing fashion sense Janelle Monáe is a very likable person from her constant aura of positivity and through her music she empowers women everywhere. She also breaks the norm of the "typical woman attire" specially on the red carpet, which I love!
