January Favorites

Wow! It's the second month of 2016 and I'm still writing 2015 in my notebooks. How did we get here so fast? I wanted to share some of my favorite things from the previous month with you lovely people. It has been a while since I've done a monthly favorites and I have no excuse for that besides pure laziness. Sorry!

Let's get right to it!

- Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

If you have been following my blog for a while now, you should know my favorite author is Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. I have been reading The Thing Around Your Neck for a couple of months mainly because I read it whenever I was traveling. Now I'm finally done! This book is a collection of short stories and I love how Adichie breaths live into each character even if though the stories are short, you build quick relationships and share emotions with the characters.

2. Grey Coat // SheIn

I've had this coat for other a year now but  I really got my money's worth during January. I didn't wear it as much when I first got it and I'm not sure why. It has been one of my go-to coats this winter. I love the mix of black, white and grey. My favorite combination and if you through in a hint of gold it would be perfect!

I have been on a hunt for a pair of casual Nike. During Black Friday I went shopping with some friends and came across these gorgeous navy classics. I have been wearing them nonstop ever since. I'm actually afraid I'm starting to wear them out.

4. Antique Velvet Lipstick + Chestnut Lip Pencil // MAC Cosmetics

I always thought MAC products were overhyped and overrated. Oh boy, was I wrong! I heard a lot great things about their lipsticks and I decided to try them out just to see what the fuss was about. I can officially say I am a MAC groupie and I don't care who knows! The pictures below show the products with lipgloss and without.

5. Bryson Tiller ~ Just Another Interlude

Bryson Tiller, you have done it again! I am in love with his sound and flow. His music has blown up since the last time I mentioned him and I am so happy with all the fame and recognition he is getting. This song has been on repeat for the whole month of January entering February. I am not sick of it yet and I don't think I ever will.
