New Orleans Travel Dairy | An Afternoon In The French Quarter

After weeks of procrastinating, I finally finished editing my pictures from my trip to New Orleans. I went to the National Association of Black Journalists conference with some friends from college. It was wonderful. We learned a lot from inspiring men and women in the media field. Besides going to seminars and workshops, we got an afternoon to explore New Orleans and walk around the French Quarter. We explored some parts of the city and I got to take some really cool shots of my friends. I didn’t think I would fall in love with NOLA the way I did. Jazz playing from every corner, people walking around tipsy and extremely friendly (thanks to the liquor). It was freshening to be in a city where everyone was in a great mood. We were there when the Red Dress Run was taking place. There were a lot of people from across the country wearing red dresses (men included). We were told it is a great charity event and another excuse for people to get drunk. Even though we spent a few days in NOLA. She definitely has a place in my heart. I’ll be back. Trust me!
