Natural Hair Wash Routine | Maple Holistics Shampoo Review

Today, I bring you my typical wash routine with a new product. I tired out Tea Tree Oil Shampoo from Maple Holistics. When it comes to my natural hair, I am not the biggest fan of trying new products but I want to change that. Maple Holistics Shampoo contains water, Jojoba Oil, Botanical Keratin, Argan Oil, Tea Tree Oil, Lavender Oil and Rosemary Oil. It was not too heavy in my hair and very easy to wash out. I really enjoyed the sent although it might be too strong for some people. When I applied the shampoo to my scalp, I could feel the a little sensation and it felt great. It is difficult to explain but it felt like a mini massage on my head. Overall, I enjoyed this shampoo and I did not see any visible differences to my hair in texture but it got the work done and my hair is clean.

Step 1 - Detangle and comb out my hair

Step 2 - Section my hair into four parts.

Step 3 - Wet the sections with water then apply shampoo to one section at a time.

Step 4 - Run the shampoo through my hair and use my fingers to detangle and massage my scalp.

Step 5- After applying the shampoo to all sections. I wash all the product from my hair.
I am always prepared for a lot of hair shrinkage. I have 4c hair, which means I have very tight curls.

Step 6 - Then I apply leave-in conditioner and let my hair air-dry till it is damp.

This is my very quick description of my wash routine. There is a lot more that happens when it is time to dry, stretch and style my hair. Maybe I’ll make different post on that. Until then, let me know if you would try Maple Holistics Shampoo and what your typical wash routine looks like? This whole process can take anywhere from 3 to 4 hours for me. That’s why my wash days are also my “me days” because it can take hours to wash my hair then some more hours to dry and style it.
