Let Go & Let God

Most people know, I struggle with not having control over things that affect my life or the life  of my loved ones. This past month has been testing my ability of letting go and letting God have control. One of the biggest attributes of being Christian is to have faith. It is to follow without fully knowing the destination even though it will be wonderful once you get there. In order to have faith, you have to relinquish control. It is understanding that your life is not yours alone. I like to work towards the future and when my plans don’t go the way I want it leads me down this path of frustration. I am currently having to readjust my plans and I am okay with that although I can not stand when I have done everything in my power although the final decision is in the hands of someone else. It can be in one’s career, relationships or health. Right now, I plan to focus on God and understanding that He has control over everything and everyone. Even those who have control over big decisions that can affect my life.

I’m going to end this post with a bible verse that has helped me understand this stage in my life,
“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,” - Ephesians 3:20
At the end of the day, it is through God and the power he has put within us that we can reach far greater heights beyond our wildest dreams. I know He has a plan for me that is far greater than anything I could imagine and until I reach that point, I will work hard and give all control to Him.
